Since we operate Colorado’s Longest and Fastest ziplines the minimum weight to ride alone and not in a tandem varies from day to day. Typically, if the child weighs between 70 to 100lbs and the conditions are just right, they will be able to ride by themselves. If not, they maybe have to tandem for a few of the ziplines and ride a few ziplines on their own. For safety reasons, this will be decided by the guides based on a variety of variables the day of the tour.
Other children, guides, and sometimes parents may be able to ride tandem with small kids (must be at least 40lbs) as long as the combined weight does not exceed 210lbs. For safety reasons, the combination of the tandem or if a tandem is needed, will be decided by the guides based on a variety of variables the day of the tour. Typically, we tandem other children together or with another guide. A parent typically will not be able to ride with the child.
