Job Overview:
A Zipline Guide at Denver Adventures and Zipline Tours is responsible for leading zipline participants through ziplining activities, ensuring their safety, and providing an engaging and enjoyable experience. The role involves preparing zipline participants, assisting them on zipline platforms, and guiding them through the course. A Zipline Guide at Denver Adventures and Zipline Tours must have strong communication skills, excellent customer service abilities, and an emphasis on safety at all times.

Key Zipline Guide Responsibilities:

  1. Safety Checks and Equipment:
    • Perform thorough safety checks on all equipment, including harnesses, helmets, and safety lines, before use.
    • Ensure that all zipline participants are properly fitted with the necessary safety gear.
    • Verify that the zipline course is in safe working condition and report any issues to supervisors before the 1st tour of the day.
  1. Practice Line Instructions:
    • Provide zipline participants with a comprehensive briefing on how to safely navigate the zipline course.
    • Explain safety procedures, equipment usage, and emergency protocols before starting the tour.
    • Answer any questions or concerns from zipline participants to ensure they are fully prepared.

  1. Communication:

    • Use radios or other communication tools such as GroupMe, to stay in contact with other guides and staff.
  1. Emergency Response:
    • Be prepared to respond to emergencies, accidents, or injuries by following company procedures.
    • Provide basic first aid or seek medical assistance when necessary.
    • Keep calm and assist in evacuation procedures if needed.
  1. Course Maintenance:
    • Assist the site manager in keeping the zipline area clean and orderly by performing safety checks before the 1st tour of the day.
    • Notifying the site manager of any maintenance that needs to be performed.
  1. Physical Requirements:
    • Ensure that all zipline participants are physically able to use the zipline and follow the necessary requirements.
    • Ensure that each zipline participants weighs between 40lbs and 245lbs.  We preform a weight check at check-in.
    • Be prepared to lift 75lbs throughout tours, assist zipline participants who may need help, and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions.
 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Physical fitness: Ability to perform physical tasks and endure various weather conditions.
  • Strong communication skills: Clear and effective verbal communication with participants and team members.
  • Customer service orientation: Friendly, approachable, and dedicated to creating a positive experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in outdoor recreation, adventure tourism, or zipline operations.

Working Conditions:

  • Outdoor work in various weather conditions (sun, rain, wind, etc.).
  • Flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.  No vacations planned(longer then 2-3 days consecutively) between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

Salary and Benefits:

Starting compensation for a Zipline Guide at Denver Adventures and Zipline Tours is $45/tour for your first 100 tours. After you complete 100 tours, you will receive a $1000 bonus and then be paid $55/tour after. Tour length averages between 1.5hr-3hrs. Benefits include optional health insurance after 60 days of employment, six friends and family passes to use through out the year(restrictions apply), 1/2 off merchandise, and opportunities for tips.

A Denver Adventures Mountain Bike, Hiking, and Snowshoeing Adventure Guide is responsible for leading groups of adventurers on various outdoor activities such as mountain biking, hiking, and snowshoeing. They ensure the safety, enjoyment, and educational experience of the participants while navigating different terrains and weather conditions. This role requires a deep knowledge of outdoor local trails, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for outdoor adventure.

Job Overview:
A Denver Adventures Mountain Bike, Hiking, and Snowshoeing Adventure Guide leads and guides groups on outdoor excursions, providing an enjoyable, safe, and educational experience for participants. Guides must be knowledgeable about local trails, terrain, weather conditions, and safety protocols, and must provide instruction in the use of equipment for each activity.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Pre-Adventure Briefing:
    • Ensure all guests have filled out the appropriate liability waiver before starting the adventure.
    • Provide participants with a thorough orientation before each activity, including safety instructions, equipment usage, and specific local trail information.
    • Inform participants of weather conditions, difficulty levels of the trail, and what to expect during the adventure.
    • Ensure that all participants have appropriate gear (e.g., helmets, shoes, water, clothing) and that it fits properly.

They also assist in booking and scheduling adventure activities, managing office supplies, and maintaining records. Job Overview:
The Denver Adventures – Zipline Tours Office Assistant provides administrative support to ensure the efficient and smooth operation of the company. This role involves managing bookings, answering customer inquiries, coordinating with guides, handling office paperwork, monitoring guide mandatory paperwork and supporting various departments to provide excellent service to clients and employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Support and Communication:
    • Answer phone calls, emails, and inquiries from clients regarding adventure activities, booking processes, and general information.
    • Provide excellent customer service, assisting with booking reservations, answering questions, and providing information about available tours, packages, and schedules.
    • Answering the phone during operating hours 8am to 8pm.  Days will rotate between staff.  If there are no tours or tours get done early for the day, you will be able to take the phone home with you, instead of staying at the office to answer it, if you agree to answer it at home.
    • Answer online chats that come in.
    • Help resolve customer complaints or issues professionally and effectively, ensuring a positive experience.
  1. Booking and Scheduling:
    • Process reservations and bookings for various adventure activities (e.g., hiking, biking, ziplining, etc.), ensuring that all details are correctly logged.
    • Update the calendar and coordinate with guides and activity leaders to schedule tours, ensuring availability and accurate customer information is communicated.
    • Making sure all zipline clients weigh between 40lb and 245lbs and are in good physical condition by asking them over the phone.
    • Booking 3rd party adventures with our partners.
    • Manage booking systems, ensuring data is up-to-date and accurate for both clients and staff.
    • Contacting clients if there are issues with their tour such as not enough people, weather related issues, payment issues, etc.
  1. Administrative Support:
    • Handle day-to-day office tasks, including tour preparation, such as getting cameras ready, filling water bottles and making sure the calendar is up to date for the next few days.
    • Maintain records of client information, activity schedules, employee schedules, and any other relevant office documentation.
    • Assist in preparing and processing invoices, receipts, and payments by going through the booking system and making sure all tours are accepted for the next few days.
    • Organize and maintain office supplies, ensuring there is adequate stock of necessary materials like brochures, paperwork, and equipment for office use. Prior purchasing approval is mandatory.
    • Filling the adventure vans up with gas.
    • Signing and approving the guide paperwork.
  1. Social Media and Marketing Support:
    • Assist in managing the company’s social media accounts(Facebook, instagram, etc), including posting content, engaging with followers, and promoting upcoming events or special offers.
    • Help create and distribute promotional materials such as brochures, flyers, or newsletters.  You get a 10% commission on any groups that you bring to the company of 10+ people.  Commission is paid after the tour is completed.
  1. Event and Tour Coordination:
    • Assist in organizing special events, tours, and group activities, ensuring that all logistics are in place for smooth operations.
    • Communicate with management, guides and clients to confirm event or tour details, including weather considerations, equipment needs, and group sizes.
    • Help coordinate transportation and other logistics when required for group tours or special packages.
  1. Financial Administration:
    • Process payments over the phone, online and assist with cash handling procedures for tour and merchandise sales.
    • Help manage client deposits, refunds, and account balances, by going through the booking system for the next few days/weeks.
  1. Team Support and Collaboration:
    • Support other office staff members, guides and the management team in day-to-day tasks, assisting wherever necessary to ensure the business runs smoothly.
    • Help with the onboarding process of new staff, including training on office systems, booking systems, driving 15 passenger vans and company specific protocols.
    • Communicate effectively with guides and other team members to ensure everyone is informed and prepared.
    • Giving the bartender next door an hour break between checking in tours.
  1. Office Organization and Cleanliness:
    • Ensure that the office environment remains organized and clutter-free.
    • Making sure the office, hallway, bathrooms and other company floors are cleaned nightly.
    • Cleaning bathrooms and taking garbage out nightly.
    • Preforming the weekly and daily cleaning check-list.
    • Watering plants when needed.
    • Filling up water bottles.
    • Washing zipline gloves daily.
    • Cleaning out coolers.
    • Other day to day cleaning tasks.
    • Restocking gift shop daily.
  1. Inventory Management:
    • Keep track of merchandise.
    • Report any inventory shortages to the appropriate person.
 

Skills and Qualifications:
