Meet Katie – Director of Operations and Farm-Grown Adventurer!
When I’m not keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, you’ll find me out on the trails with my two loyal sidekicks, Maverick (my Queensland Blue Heeler) and Midnight (my energetic Border Collie). I’m passionate about making sure every single guest at Denver Adventures has an experience that’s seamless, exciting, and unforgettable.
Originally from a small farm town in northwest Iowa, I grew up raising cattle, hogs, corn, beans, and alfalfa—learning early on the value of hard work and a good sense of humor. I brought those same values with me when I moved to Colorado in 2010 and joined the Denver Adventures team in 2011. Since then, I’ve been lucky enough to turn my love for the outdoors and people into a career I truly enjoy every single day.
In addition to my work at Denver Adventures, I’m also the proud owner of High Altitude Candle—a passion project turned business where I hand-pour small batch, mountain-inspired candles that bring a little Colorado into every home. (Check them out at www.highaltitudecandle.com!)
Whether I’m supporting our guides, coordinating tours, crafting a new candle scent, or just sharing stories with guests, I’m here to help create moments that matter. I can’t wait to welcome you to our little slice of Colorado paradise—let’s make some adventure happen!
